3. Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The Minutes of the meeting of 12 August 2011 were accepted.

4. Business Arising

5. Presidents Report
(i) The ABF will sponsor a team from China to the 2012 Summer Festival.
(ii) A new initiative at the Summer Festival will be free seminars by leading players. A member of the Chinese team will be one of the speakers.
(iii)The ABF is considering giving BFACT an event within the Summer Festival
(iv) The National Teaching Coordinator, Joan Butts, will be contacted about a teaching tour in our region.
6. Treasurers Report
(i) The Financial Statements have been prepared for the AGM and are currently being checked by Ian Thomson.
(ii) The Insurance policy for Liability Management, Fraud Control and Professional Indemnity has been paid.
7. Tournament Secretarys Report
(i) Peter Kahler spoke to his precirculated email and calendar.
Motion: That the Committee formally ratify the Calendar, subject to the Interclub date change.
Proposed: Peter Kahler, Seconded Roy Nixon. Motion accepted.
(ii) The next BFACT event is the Gala Pairs.
(iii) The First Train will be held at South Canberra on 5 April 2012.
(iv) The Honour Boards will soon be purchased.
8. BFACT InterClub Championship Finals
The results have been circulated by Bruce Crossman.
9. AGM
(i) All procedures are in place. The motion to increase affiliation fees was circulated within the prescribed time. Nomination forms for the election of office bearers have been posted on the BFACT Notice Board.
(ii) The President will invite Beverley Carmichael and Earl Dudley to attend to present their respective trophies.
10. Directors Courses
These did not take place. Despite extensive advertising, there was not sufficient numbers to justify holding the courses. A further attempt will be made at a future date.
11. Masterpointing Open and Womens Trials
These events have not been masterpointed. Peter Kahler will follow up.
12. Youth Report
John Yoon reported that eight youth players attended the Sapphire Coast Congress, and twenty five youth played at Batemans Bay. The University Bridge Club is the main hub. Organising lessons in schools is difficult.
13. Any Other Business
GNP
As Gordon Henderson will not be available to direct the GNP on 29 October, Bruce Crossman agreed to direct and organize the event at South Canberra if possible.
The AGM will be held on Sunday 16th October.
