The BFACT Interclub Championship started in April this year with seven teams competing in Restricted and four in the Senior Competition. The First Round on April 11 ended with South Canberra leading in both Restricted Senior Divisions (see R1 PDF file for full results).
At the end of the second round held on June 25th, South Canberra continued to lead in Restricted (see Restricted R2 pdf file) but now Canberra led in the Senior division (see Seniors R2 PDF file).
The final was held on Saturday 27 August. There was a close tussle in both divisions In Restricted Moruya came from 4th to win by 1.5 VPs from South Canberra while in the Senior event South Canberra came from second to take the title.
So congratulations go to both Moruya (who traveled a long way for each round) and South Canberra.
Our thanks go to all the teams who competed and all the many individuals who represented their club so well. In excess of 50 players were involved in the 2011 event with Red masterpoints awarded for the two preliminary rounds as well as the Final.
